Motorola India has sent invites for the launch event of the Moto X Force, which is scheduled to take place on February 1 in Gurgaon. The company has been teasing the launch of the 'shatterproof' Moto X Force for the past few weeks in India, and had also confirmed upcoming availability in the country alongside the global launch of the smartphone.
The biggest highlight of the Moto X Force is the 'ShatterShield' display. The company in October said that the display is made of an aluminium rigid core, flexible Amoled screen, and dual-layer touchscreen panels - wouldn't break into pieces even when dropped on a slab of concrete. Also the smartphone comes with water-repellent nano-coating.
Coming to the specifications, the Moto X Force features a 5.4-inch QHD display with 1440x2560 pixels resoution. The smartphone is powered by a 2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core SoC coupled with 3GB LPDDR4 RAM. The handset comes in 32GB and 64GB inbuilt storage options, both supports expandable storage option up to 2TB via a microSD card slot. The smartphone sports a 21MP rear-camera with f/2.0 aperture and dual-LED flash and Phase Detect Autofocus. It also features a 5MP front-facing camera with flash and an f/2.0 aperture.
The Motorola smartphone runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and supports single-SIM with 4G LTE (Cat. 4). Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, GPS, microUSB and other standard connectivity options. The handset is backed by a 3760mAh battery with Quick Charging support.
Motorola's Moto X Force was first available in the UK where it was priced at GBP 499 (roughly Rs 49,900) for the 32GB variant, and a GBP 534 (roughly Rs 53,400) for the 64GB variant.
