Lava has launched its new V5 smartphone in India. Priced at Rs 11,499, Lava V5 smartphone has been launched as a camera-focussed phone with 4G connectivity. The smartphone will be available via physical retail stores and multi-brand outlets as well as online exclusively via eBay India starting today.
The Lava V5 features a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with 720x1280 pixels resolution. The display comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The handset is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. The V5 smartphone runs on the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with the company's proprietary Star OS 2.0 running on top. The company says that the OS is upgradeable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The camera focussed Lava V5 sports a 13MP rear camera with features such as PDAF (phase detection autofocus), f2.0 aperture, 5P Largan lens Blue glass filter, and dual LED flash. The handset also packs an 8MP front-facing camera which features f2.2 aperture with 84 degree wide angle lens and LED flash. The camera also features Pic Focus, Wide Selfie, Night Pro, GIF maker, Intelligent Selfie, and multi-angle view.
The dual-SIM 4G handset supports 4G LTE connectivity. Other connectivity options of the phone include 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Glonass, Micro-USB and OTG support. The Lava V5 packs a 3000mAh battery. The handset also comes with a Super Power Saving mode for extended battery life.
