Lava has launched a new smartphone, the Lava P7, priced at Rs 5,499. The budget smartphone Lava P7 will be going on sale via physical retailers as well as online retailers.
The Lava P7 features a 5-inch FWVGA display with 480x854 pixels resolution. The display also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The handset is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek processor coupled with 1GB RAM. It also comes with 8GB internal storage which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. The smartphone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system out-of-the-box. However the phone will receive a guaranteed Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in the future.
The Lava P7 sports a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera with LED flash. The camera offers various features such as Child Mode, Live Photo, Panorama, Voice Capture, and Face Beautification. The camera also supports HD video recording. The smartphone supports dual SIM with dual standby. Other connectivity options of the phone include 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, and Micro-USB.
The handset is backed by a 2000mAh battery which is rated to deliver up to 20 hours of talk time. The company says that the Lava P7 also comes with a Power Saver mode. The handset will be available in Blue, Gold (With Pearl Finish), and White colours.
