Indian smartphone manufacturer Intex has unveiled its latest premium smartphone to its lineup, the Aqua GenX. The Aqua GenX is priced at Rs 13,299 and is available via offline retailers.
The smartphone features a 5.5-inch full-HD IPS display with a screen resolution of 1080X1920 pixels and Dragon Trail H7 display protection. The device is powered by a 1.3GHz 64 bit MediaTek MT6753 octa-core SoC coupled with 2GB DDR3 RAM. The Intex Aqua GenX comes with 16GB inbuilt storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 128GB.
The Aqua GenX comes with a 13MP rear camera with Samsung sensor and LED flash. The camera comes with gesture capture, HDR, PIP mode, live photo mode, motion tracker, face detect, voice capture, panorama, multi-angle view and anti-shake. The handset also sports a 5MP front-facing camera for taking selfies.
The Intex Aqua GenX runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with no word on when it will receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade. The connectivity options of the dual-SIM capable smartphone include 4G LTE, 3G, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, micro USB, OTG support and Wi-Fi. For the second SIM to be used, a user will have to take out the microSD card.
The handset comes in two colour options- Silver and Champagne. The device supports communication in 21 regional languages including Hindi.
The device packs a 2850mAh removable battery. The company claims that the battery will deliver 11 hours of talktime on 3G and 392 hours of standby time on 3G.
