Micromax has launched its 4G LTE smartphone, named Canvas Xpress 4G, at a price of just Rs 6,599. The smartphone will be exclusively available on the e-commerce website Flipkart.
The Micromax Canvas Xpress 4G features a 5-inch (12.7 cm) HD IPS display that boasts a pixel resolution of 1280 x 720. The handset is powered by a 1GHz Quad Core Mediatek MT6735 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM that ensure a seamless performance. It also comes with 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32 GB by using a micro SD card. The handset runs on the Android 5.1 Lollipop Operating System. The Xpress 4G comes loaded with a variety of apps such as Chaatz, Clean Master, Hike, Quikr and more.
The handset sports an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front-facing camera. The Dual Sim (GSM+LTE) smartphone supports 4G LTE connectivity. Other connectivity options include 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0. The device is backed by a 2000mAh battery. The battery delivers up to 6.5 hrs of talk time and up to 182 hrs of standby time on 2G connectivity.
With a relatively low price of Rs 6,599, the Micromax Canvas Xpress 4G will compete against similar handsets such as Lenovo A6000 Plus, Xiaomi Redmi 2, YU Yuphoria, Samsung Galaxy J2 and Moto E 4G. The smartphone is available in blue colour variant exclusively via Flipkart.
