Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has launched Redmi Note Prime priced at Rs 8,499. It is the second made in India smartphone and it will be exclusively available on Amazon.in and Mi.com starting today.
Redmi Note Prime is an enhanced version of Redmi Note 4G. The smartphone features a 5.5- inch HD IPS display with 1280 x 720 resolution and pixel density of 267 PPI.
The smartphone is powered by a 1.2GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor coupled with Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB LPDDR3 RAM. It comes with 16GB of internal flash memory. The handset supports external storage up to 32GB. The smartphone runs on Android 4.4, optimized with MIUI 7. MIUI 7 improves system response time by 30% and uses power-saving strategies to give you 10% more battery everyday.
The smartphone sports a 13MP auto focus rear camera with LED flash and ƒ/2.2 aperture. It also features a 5MP front facing camera. Rear camera supports 1080P (1920x1080) HD video recording and the front-facing camera supports 720P (1280x720) HD video recording.
The dual micro-SIM dual standby (4G + 4G) smartphone supports 4G connectivity on both dual SIM slots. Other connectivity options include 2G, 3G, GPS, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0 LE and Micro USB connectivity. The handset packs 3100mAh Lithium-polymer battery providing talk-time of 38 hours and standby time of 775 hours.
